APGA has only two strong aspirants seeking it's Senatorial ticket for the Anambra North Senatorial Election today.
The main contestants are Chief Mrs Ebele Obiano and Chief Primus Odili. The two candidates from Aguleri were former first lady and former Chief of Staff of Anambra state from the same Aguleri community.
The former first lady has won the endorsement of Anambra North APGA leader and appears set to be coronated at the primary. However, the loss and decampment of one of her major foot soldier in Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency, Hon. Uche Okafor (Wiper ) has sent a strong message to the Osodieme's camp that it is not yet uhuru. Despite that Chief Chinedu Nnatuanya has earlier asked every aspirant to shelve their ambitions and support the former first lady.
However, the former Chief of staff is enjoying the support of the strongest APGA foot soldier, and youth mobilizer Hon Chinedu Benjamin Obidigwe. From the result on ground, the Okeosisi/Akaoma group have won almost all the tickets for both state and federal house.
The stronghold of the former first lady can be traced to the husband HE. Willie Obiano who is the party BOT and having facilited the corrent seat of the sitting governor of Anambra prof. Soludo is likely to throw his support towards Obiano's wife in a bid to consolidate the former governor in making sure that he won the Anambra gubernatorial election on November the 6th 2021.
Another power house of Osodieme may come from the Apga national chairman chief victor oye who may like to pay the former governor back for supporting him maintain his Apga national chairman prior to the November 6th Anambra governorship election and after.
The former chief of staff is enjoying the support of U-ANYA/U-AWA leader as the only stronghold .
