PROF OBIEFUNE SETS A NEW BENCH MARK AS IJENOKE COMMENCES TODAY.

The Chairman of Ogene Ivite forum, Prof Michael Obiefune has set a bench mark of 2 million goals per team for the 2022/23 Ijenoke season.

In a similar development, a true test of Okpodo's mettle also commences this morning as an improving Umungalagu side and the struggling Umuawunu team welcome the CJ Mbanefo's side to Ama village 1 and Ama Umuawunu, today and tomorrow being Friday October 14th and tomorrow October 15th respectively.

Mbanefo's side ran out narrow winners over struggling Umuawunu in the last season's opening match, and subsequently top them on the table at the end of last season. while Tony Moore's side finished third to the bottom of the Ogene Ivite table last season ahead of Okpodo and Umuawunu teams.

The pre season matches of Okpodo team was a pleasant sight for the travelling fans with a little challenge on the side of the assistant team manager, Mr Amechi Ekwenye who was said to has lost his mobile phone last night after all the preparations for the D day. It is not yet clear if the phone loss will have a negative effect on the performance of the players this morning as Mr Chukwuebuka Mario Ekwenye has already taken over the coordination of the team.

The Chairman of Ogene Ivite forum, Prof Michael Obiefune has made himself an independent team by donating two million points as a bench mark and warned that no team should score below the bench mark of two million goals.

As a result, Ijele Arinze Omeiveukwu Nwuvo and Ijele Emeka Chinwuba are now in a very tight corner to meet up the new target and also save the struggling Umuawunu team from loosing their opening games against Okpodo and Umungalagu.

UMUANEVILI YOUTH IS WORKING; TREATS ALLEGED SABOTUER'S " FORK UP".

A video surfaced on line has shown how the same group of Umuanevili youths, after forcing Mr Edwin Okafor to swear an oath and also beat him up in his house, went ahead to rough handle their brother, Mr Emma Nwekwu for allegedly exposing their secret.

In the viral video, the alleged sabotuer was forced to lie down and receive 20 strokes of cane from each of the families that make up the clan.

He was gently commanded to lie down and received enough punishment for his action. In the course of dishing out the punishment to Emma, he complained about his broken head " isi mu oo" but they refused to let him go.

However, all efforts to hear Emma's side of the story proved abortive as he kept avoiding the press, possibly he was afraid of further implication.

This is where we have found our selves in Aguleri of today, the most lucrative profession is now YOUTH profession.
