HRH Igwe Igbago Ejior, the traditional ruler of Enugwu Otu Aguleri, is set to celebrate the first Ovala festival on 17th February 2023 at Enugwu Otu, Aguleri Anambra state.
This was made known in a statement by the Ovala steering committee on Tuesday.
The festival, which would also mark the Igwe's 1st year on the throne, is a celebration of the Indigenes of Enugwu Otu Aguleri.
“All is set for 2023 Ovala of His Royal Highness Igwe Igbago Ejior, Omeliora of Enugwu Otu. The celebration to be held at Enugwu Otu school Aguleri.
His Royal Highness will also be using the occasion of the Ovala to commemorate with thanksgiving his 1st anniversary as monarch. He ascended the throne of Igwe Enugwu Otu last year .
“The Ovala is the high point of the Enugwu Otu ceremonial cycle. The Igwe is the celebrant of this spectacle which is rooted in deep spirituality.

INVITATION TO APPLY 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Board of Trustees of DR. EDITH CHINEZE EJOH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP invites applications
for SCHOLARSHIP AWARD from suitably qualified female students of Aguleri Origin who want to study or are already studying Education or Medicine in any Nigerian University.
The scholarship is valued at N200,000.00 (Two hundred thousand naira) only per session and for a
limited number of person/persons to be selected strictly based on merit and on first come first
served basis.
Requirements include evidence of a good WAEC or GCE or NECO, NCE, JAMB result, JAMB letter of
Admission or letter of evidence of already studying in a University and an Identification letter from
the Traditional Ruler of Aguleri evidencing the applicant as a native of AGULERI.
Suitable qualified applicants should send their biodata in a PDF/MS word format and attach
passport photograph, WAEC/NECO/GCE /NCE/JAMB result, JAMB Letter of admission,
Identification letter from the Traditional Ruler of Aguleri and/or a Letter of evidence of already
