GUN MEN KIDNAP 1 IN AGULERI JUNCTION



Barely two days after gunmen released Mr Chinonso Uba, an Indigene of Enugwu Aguleri who was kidnapped In Awka Anambra State, gunmen again on Thursday June 29th kidnapped a man from Enugu state in Aguleri junction.


It was gathered that the victim was trailed from Onitsha to Aguleri junction where he was kidnapped.


According to a source in the area, the victim's vehicle was  forced to divert towards a certain filling station after releasing several shots of AK-47 and he ended up where the gun men held the victim hostage and disappeared with him.


The neighbouring communities in Omabala have severally raised alarms over a den of kidnapers in a bush near Mmiata Anam. Mmiata is in Anambra west and is a border community with Aguleri , Umuleri and other communities in Anambra East local government area of Anambra State. The bush had become a safe haven for gunmen operating in Anambra State. Police had made an attempt in the past to dislodge them but all to no avail.

Umungalagu village Ivite Aguleri has announced a cash reward of N 100,000 for any person or group that provides information to the Nigeria Police or Aguleri vigilante service that would lead to the arrest of those involved in the murder of the former task force chairman, Mr Chukwudi Nwakwudo of Umungalagu Ivite Aguleri.


The bounty of #100,000 is placed on these 2 key suspects: Onyibor Osita and Oddy. That is #50,000 each.


The village has also approved the release of another fund to the indigenous youths to assist them in their separate and collective investigations towards unraveling those behind the death of their son.Apart from the key suspects, others still at large are : Tochukwu Ekwoba, Odili Chukwuma, Chiedu Raymond, Chimezie Obadiegwu, Akpati brother and their Host, a native Doctor known as Onye Amuma.


In a similar development, Ogene Ivite foundation, ANYA leadership and Aguleri community Assembly are currently meeting to assist the people of Umungalagu in the investigation and possible prosecution of the suspected killers.
