UMUNGALAGU TEAM OPENS THEIR FIRST DAY OF IJENOKE TRAINING.


A host of young people reported at Ama Umungalagu last weekend for  training ahead of 2023 Ijenoke Umungalagu carnival as Dr Fide Ndigwe's side begin to step up preparations for the new Ijenoke season.

Umungalagu will use their newly acquired field to host Ivite Aguleri community on 7th October 2023 in a crucial campaign for Ivite Aguleri champion. 

Ijele Tony More's representative was accompanied by some of the team's home base stars including the Youth Chairman, Nonso Ndigwe and his executive. .

Those Umungalagu players who are expected participate in this year's Ijenoke crowd funding matches, include: Agbalusia Ngene Portugal, Azodo, Dan Obeche, Ibehs, Jekwu, Uzodigwes, Obagha, Akabuezes, Aniefunes to mention but a few.

Umungalagu team made a significant impact last season as they paraded over 30 players and motivated other teams in the Ogene Ivite annual competition.

Despite their effort in the first leg of the competition, they were subsequently defeated by 6 teams and they finished 7th position in the table.

Ndigwe is currently on a mission to move his team from 7th position to top 3 in the 2023 Ijenoke competition
