WHY AGULERI STUDENTS WILL NEVER FORGET HIS LORDSHIP THE RT REV. DR PAUL AMECHI UDOGU.

The Anglican Bishop of Afikpo Diocese, an indigene of Aguleri, Lord Bishop Paul Amechi Udogu has officially unveiled the beneficiaries of his Scholarship Programme: Pictured below are the beneficiaries and the beautiful environment of the best school in Anambra East, known as, Little Angels British school Aguleri.
Six students in the institution will never forget the Anglican Bishop as they became the first set of beneficiaries of the Scholarship Programme of the Lord Bishop.
The students were awarded scholarship throughout their secondary school in the prestigious Little Angels School Aguleri, at an event used to kick off the scholarship scheme in the school Auditorium.
According to the Bishop, the beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme were drawn from the 3 quarters that make up Aguleri community, through a transparent process of scholarship exams.
The statement indicated that the scholarship recipients were given exams and the best candidates that emerged were selected on merit from each of the three traditional quarters that make up Aguleri community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon Mrs Chinwe Udeogu who is also the proprietress of the school congratulated the beneficiaries.
She noted that the scholarship scheme was part of efforts by the lord Bishop to ensure that no willing student is left behind with the aim of ensuring that no child is denied formal education regardless of the circumstances of his or her birth.
“With the Scholarship scheme we envision an Aguleri and Omabala where every child , regardless of their circumstances, can access the best education available.
"It is not just about textbooks and classrooms, it is about igniting curiosity, speaking innovation and fostering a love of learning that will transcend generations".
Speaking at the event, Barr. Francis Okeke (The secretary of Aguleri Town Union) who also cued into the vision of Bishop Udogu and awarded scholarship to three indigenes of Aguleri in the institution, based on merit noted that education is the pillar of every community.
Another philanthropist and an Onitsha based business Man, from Igboezunu Aguleri, Mr Emmanuel Nweke also awarded scholarship to two pupils from primary school till they graduate from secondary school.
The Lord Bishop therefore urged other meaningful Agulerians and philanthropists from Omabala area to cue into his vision and take up sponsorship of poor and indigent students of Aguleri and Omabala communities.
