EZE AKAJIOVOR IGBO INAUGURATES COMMITTEE FOR 2023 WORLD ERI FESTIVAL.

The Eze Akajiovor Igbo, His Majesty Eze Dr. Chukwuemeka  Eri, Ezeora 34th has approved the committees of experts set to manage the 2023 World Eri festival.

The festival, which is in commemoration of the arrival of Eri, the progenitor of Igbo race at the confluence of Ezu and Omabala rivers centuries ago, will hold on the 3rd, 4th (Main Day) and 5th of November 2023.

The Committees will focus on finance, marketing strategy and communications, culture and tourism matters and government relations. Other areas of focus are protocol, logistics, and security. The committees have been established to place the festival on a higher pedestal.

According to His Majesty, “despite the grandeur and spectacle of the event, there is a need to build upon this and ensure that the festival continues to grow and remains relevant.

“This is imperative particularly within the context of moving Igbo communities forward. 

The World Eri festival popularity has grown in terms of its social glamour, attracting national and international attention, in addition to enjoying the benefit of partnerships with major corporate bodies, which have helped enormously in projecting Igbos to the entire world.
