UMU-OBEKE ISIOKWE IVITE AGULERI RECORDS A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION
One of the ancient kindreds in Isiokwe Ivite Aguleri yesterday recorded a successful power transition.
The electoral committee Chairman in his opening remarks urged the delegates and the candidates to see the exercise as an inhouse affair where all the candidates volunteered themselves for a selfless service to the kindred, the village as well as Aguleri community at large.
The immediate past chairman of the kindred, Mmelika Edeziogor (Okaligbo Mkpunando) advised the newly elected executives of the kindred to make sure that they work for the collective gain of Umuobeke and not for any personal gain. He reminded them that the work is a selfless service to the kindred.
Mmelika also urged them to do far better than the immediate past executives. He prayed that the new Executives will work with God's wisdom.
The newly elected Chairman, Mr Dominic Nwaobu (Controller) in his acceptance speech, thanked the Umu-obeke kindred for finding them worthy to lead the affairs of the kindred in the next coming years.
