Aguleri, Anambra East LGA, Anambra State - The community of Aguleri is in mourning following the demise of Chief Alex Aloefuna , popularly known as Odunze Aguleri, who passed away at the age of 70.
According to Dr. Ekene Aloefune, a family member, Chief Aloefune died at Nnewi Teaching Hospital after a brief illness, suspected to be cardiac arrest.
The late Odunze Aguleri was a respected community leader, teacher, and devout Catholic. He was known for moderating programs at the Catholic Church, Ovala Aguleri, and other important events in Aguleri.
Chief Aloefune's passing comes as a shock, especially with his daughter's traditional marriage ceremony scheduled for January 8, just weeks after his demise.
He is survived by his wife and five children. The community of Aguleri will deeply miss his leadership and guidance. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
