The event was the largest gathering of APGA members and stakeholders and which brought together all past and present elected and appointed political and executive office holders in Anambra East LGA.
The deputy governor Dr Ibezim and state party chairman and exco members were present to grace the occasion.
Speaker after speaker, including Chief Primus Odili (Okosisi), Hon Chinedu Obidigwe (Akaoma), Hon Obinna Emeneka (Ijele Omabala), Hon Obi Nweke (Elegelede), including the host, Chief Joseph Ekwealor ( Onyilingiga Anam), the local government and Mayor of Anambra East LGA Hon Sir Ifeanyi Chinweze made fantastic speeches and spoke on so many things and persons relating to the progress of APGA as the ruling party in Anambra State today.
In particular, the speakers as mentioned above showered endless praises and encomiums to the Governor Prof Charles Soludo for his great achievements in the state and his support to APGA as a party.
In his own speech after all the great speeches, the Deputy Governor was the only person that acknowledged the efforts of the former governor Chief Willie Obiano both in the state and party.
Being personally aware of the role Obiano played in elevating the party and their political careers and their status in life today, the deputy Governor was the only one in Ex Governor Obiano's home and LGA that acknowledged him.
Again, whilst Akaoma was speaking, the Mayor was said to have gone to him about to urge/signal him to round up his speech. Akaoma then warned him to stop interrupting him and told those sending him to come to him to stop such.
Akaoma gave each ward in the LGA some cash and some drinks likewise Chief Primus Odili.
